Create custom elements
Custom elements are handy when you want to add a Guide in a location on a screen where there is no existing element.
To get the workflow steps, head over to the section Create custom elements in the article Create demos part 4: create demo guides.
Pin an element
Walnut’s template editor allows you to pin elements to any parent element. With element pinning, you can fix relative positioning of elements to make them responsive. This feature applies to tooltips, pop ups, and demo-down menus that are not anchored properly due to the way the original product was built.
To get the workflow steps, head over to the section The right click menu in the article Create demos part 1: create and share templates.
NOTES:
- This feature is mainly relevant if you are using the “dynamic screen size” display option, with any “proportional fit” settings, the element’s position will remain relative as the screen is not responsive.
- You can always change the pinned element and anchor it to another element, there’s an edit capability that you can fully control and reverse.
