Overview
Our integration with HubSpot allows you to integrate all of this engagement data directly into your workflow. This will make it super easy and practical to enrich your sales process with these key insights and allow Account Executives to follow up with extremely precise info about their prospects’ intent. This will also help your team better manage and stay on top of their deals by giving you all the demo-related information in one place.
Instructions

On the left side navigation click on Integrations, then click on Learn More under Hubspot.

Tap Configure to start the integration setup, you will need to be a HubSpot user with Read permissions for companies, contacts and deals, as well as write permissions for contacts.

Select New authentication and choose a name, this will be used to manage the integration in Walnut only, and won't be visible externally.

Choose between a Sandbox or Production environment. The option for a Sandbox environment will be available only if your company has a HubSpot Sandbox, and you have access to it.

Approve the requested permissions in order to complete the setup.

To enable or disable the integration after the setup has been completed, toggle the on/off button.

In your HubSpot CRM, ensure Walnut’s notifications are selected in the Activity filters.

Once you’ve enabled the integration, this will become available for all the Walnut users in your company. Every user in your company that will create a demo will be able to connect the demo to a specific deal in HubSpot, in order to get updates directly in your CRM each time this demo is viewed.

Who can enable the HubSpot integration?
Only those with Admin permissions in Walnut can enable the HubSpot integration. It’s also necessary that you have an available HubSpot user with Read permissions to companies, Contacts and deals, as well as Write permissions to contacts.
Can I connect a demo to any type of deal?
The deals you’ll be able to see depend on the HubSpot user used for the authentication. Any deal available for this user will also become available for you in Walnut.
Can I create a new deal via Walnut?
At the moment it is not possible to create new deals via Walnut.
I’d like to try it first. Do you offer a Sandbox environment?
If your company has a HubSpot Sandbox, make sure the user you are authenticating with has access to it. Walnut does not provide our own Sandbox. During the configuration process, the Walnut admin within your company can choose whether to set up a Production or Sandbox environment. After testing the Sandbox environment, you’ll be able to easily switch to the Production environment by modifying the configuration.
How many API calls will you be making and for what purpose?
We will make API calls to HubSpot in three instances:
- When a deal search is performed during demo creation.
Calls made: Search deal. - When a deal is selected during demo creation.
Calls made: Get HubSpot owner, Get deal stage, Get deal associations, Get company. - Each time a demo connected to a deal is viewed.
Calls made: Create task, Associate task with deal.
We will notify you if the API access is disabled.
What type of data do we display through the integration?
The following data is being processed and displayed by Walnut, in order to track Walnut demos engagement in HubSpot - Deal ID, Deal name, Deal stage, Deal owner and inserted at, and Updated at.
Is there a third party in use?
Walnut is using a third party to enable the integration with HubSpot. Walnut may change and add new tools in the future. Contact us for more information.
How can I disable or remove the HubSpot integration?
You can disable or re-enable the integration at any time by tapping the toggle button on the company settings page on Walnut’s platform. You can completely remove the integration from your account by tapping the “X” next to the Configure button on the company settings page on Walnut’s platform.
Who has permission to disable or remove the Walnut HubSpot integration?
Only Walnut admins have the ability to change the integration settings.
