Save and reuse sections with the Section Library

About This Feature

The Section Library is a company-wide bank of reusable playlist sections. Build a section once — a hero row, a pricing block, a set of customer-story cards — save it to the library, and drop it into any other playlist or deal room in your workspace. Every seller starts from the same building blocks, and updates to your standard sections happen in one place instead of copy-pasted across dozens of hubs.

Feature Status: Available on Advanced Playlists and Deal Rooms.

Role Access: Admin, Editor, Presenter.

Location: Playlist or Deal Room editor → any section → Save to library action, and the Add Section → Reuse from library menu.

Save a Section to the Library

  1. Open the playlist or deal room in edit mode.
  2. Hover the section you want to save. Open the section's more-actions menu.
  3. Click Save to library.
  4. Give the section a clear, descriptive name — this is what teammates will search for when they add it back in.
  5. Save. The section is now available to every editor in your workspace.

The saved copy captures the section's layout, its content items (demos, videos, docs, embeds), and its styling. Editing the section back in the original playlist does not change the saved copy — the library entry is an independent snapshot.

Add a Section From the Library

  1. In any playlist or deal room, open the Add Section menu.
  2. Reuse from library is the first row in the menu — it's where the editor expects your team to start.
  3. Pick a section from the picker. The picker searches by section name and shows a preview so you can confirm before inserting.
  4. The section drops in at the current position with all of its content items and styling intact.

Once inserted, the section behaves like any other section in the hub — you can rename it, reorder its items, restyle it, or delete it without touching the library entry.

Managing Library Entries

  • Rename or delete a library entry from the picker.
  • Search by name — the picker matches partial names, so pricing finds Pricing – Enterprise.
  • Shared workspace-wide. Every editor sees the same list. There are no per-user private sections.

If you delete a library entry, existing playlists that already use it are not affected — they keep the section they inserted. Only future inserts stop being possible.

When to Use Library Sections

  • Standard blocks that every seller needs. Pricing tables, "About Us" banners, security-and-compliance cards, customer logos.
  • A hero section that must stay on-brand. Bake the approved styling and copy into the library so no one improvises.
  • Repeatable per-persona bundles. A "For Security Leaders" bundle of demos plus resources you drop into every enterprise hub.

Ad-hoc sections that only serve one deal do not belong in the library — keep the library curated so the picker stays useful.

FAQs

Does updating the section in one playlist update every hub that used it? No. A library section is a snapshot. Once you insert it, the copy is independent — this keeps a per-deal edit from silently changing every hub that used the same block.

Can I share a library section with another workspace? No. The library is scoped to a single workspace.

What section types can I save? Any section type an Advanced Playlist supports — demos rows, resource grids, embedded content, code embeds, and mixed sections.

What happens when I delete a library entry? Future inserts stop being possible. Existing playlists that already inserted the section are unaffected.
