Overview​

Editing a live playlist or Deal Room no longer means your viewers see every change the moment you make it. With the draft and publish workflow, your edits are saved as a draft while viewers continue to see the last published version. When your changes are ready, you Publish them all at once — or discard them if you change your mind.

This gives you a safe space to restructure, rewrite, and restyle a playlist or Deal Room without exposing work-in-progress to your audience.

How It Works​

  • Edits are drafts. The editor saves your changes automatically as an unpublished draft.
  • Viewers see the published version. Your audience always sees the most recently published state — never your in-progress draft.
  • You control when it goes live. Nothing reaches viewers until you explicitly click Publish.

Working with Drafts​

The status pill​

Next to the name in the editor's top bar, a status pill shows where things stand:

  • Not published — it has never been published.
  • Published — viewers are seeing exactly what's in the editor.
  • Unpublished changes — your draft differs from what's published. Viewers are still seeing an earlier version, and you have edits waiting to go live.

The line under the name shows Last saved … (your latest autosave) and Last published … (or Not published yet).

Publish your changes​

When your draft is ready:

  1. Open the playlist or Deal Room you've been editing.
  2. Review your changes.
  3. Click Publish.

Your draft becomes the new published version, the status pill switches to Published, and viewers immediately see the update. Once everything is published, the Publish button becomes Get link.

Discard your changes​

Not happy with your edits? Open the menu next to Publish and choose Discard draft, then confirm. The draft rolls back to the last published version. Your published version is unaffected — only the unpublished draft is removed, and this can't be undone.

Who Can Edit and Publish​

Editing, publishing, and discarding a draft all require edit rights on the playlist or Deal Room — Admins, plus Editors and Presenters who have edit access. Collaborators with view-only access can open it but can't edit, publish, discard a draft, restore a version, archive it, or change its access settings.

FAQs​

What do viewers see while I'm editing?​

Viewers always see the last published version. Your draft edits stay private until you Publish.

Can I undo a draft?​

Yes. Use Discard draft to revert your draft back to the currently published version at any time before publishing.
