Quick Start Guide

🔑 Important to Note

Cookie Consent is a company-level setting managed in Company Settings. You must be an Account Owner or Admin to adjust these settings.

To enable and configure cookie consent:

1. Go to Company Settings in Walnut.
2. Navigate to the Access Control section in Account Settings.
3. Toggle Ask Consent to Use Cookies setting to ON.
4. The Cookie Consent Privacy URL field is prefilled with Walnut’s default cookie policy (https://www.walnut.io/privacy/). However, you can replace this with a link to your company’s own privacy or cookie policy page, if applicable.
5. Click Save Changes to enforce cookie consent prompts across all demos, playlists, and deal rooms.

🕒 Note

The cookie consent prompt is displayed based on the viewer’s device time zone. For example, if a viewer’s laptop is set to a region that requires GDPR compliance (such as France or Germany), the cookie consent prompt will automatically appear for them.

What Does the Cookie Consent Banner Look Like?

When enabled, viewers will see the following consent prompts:

• Main Cookie Consent Prompt – Requests permission to use cookies before the viewer can proceed.

• Manage Cookies – Allows viewers to review and adjust their cookie preferences.

• The prompt is displayed automatically when a viewer’s device is set to a time zone in a GDPR region.
