The mobile setup flow has been streamlined to make configuration easier and more intuitive. You now have more control and clearer choices. Here’s what’s new:

New “Optimize mobile viewing experience” Toggle

This setting simplifies preparing desktop demos for mobile while preserving your original layout. When enabled, it provides:

• Mobile-optimized display — applies our recommended 4:3 resolution ratio to improve readability on mobile devices.
• Enhanced guided demo experience — automatically enables split-screen mode for guided demos in both:
  • Portrait — guide and demo displayed together for easy step-by-step navigation
  • Landscape — wider split-screen view for more visible screen context

This toggle provides a clearer, more intuitive experience for viewers exploring guided demos on mobile devices.

New Landscape Viewing Option 

In addition to portrait mode, viewers can now see the demo and guide side-by-side in landscape mode on mobile devices. This creates a clearer, more intuitive experience for guided demos, offering easier navigation and more visible screen context as viewers move through each step.

Seamless Mobile Viewing — No Interruptions

You can now allow viewers to access your desktop demo on mobile exactly as it is — even without enabling mobile optimization.

Previously, demos viewed on mobile required optimization or would display a "Heads Up!" screen. With this update, you have full flexibility in how your desktop content appears across devices.

Turning this setting off removes the "Heads Up!" screen, allowing viewers to enter the demo directly.

How to Update Your Mobile Settings

To configure mobile behavior for any desktop demo:

1. Open any template from your Walnut Library.
2. Navigate to Template Settings > Screen Display.
3. Choose your preferred mobile options and click Save.
4. Update your existing demos or publish a new one to apply the changes.
5. Preview both portrait and landscape views to confirm the mobile experience looks as expected.
