About

Walnut has a menu pane  listing the main screens. Of course, you can expand or collapse the pane as needed. Getting to know what’s on each screen will help you get the information you need, fast.

We’ll cover each of the menu items below.

The Walnut menu pane

If you don’t see the menu and want to access it, click the Walnut icon and you’ll get back to the Home page.


Home

Home displays your files in a familiar layout.

Header row - left side (#1)
  • Search icon
  • Filter by type or tag


Header row - right side #2)
  • View all company files toggle
  • Invite team members to share your work.

Sort files (#3)

Sorts the files by updated date (ascending or descending).


File attributes (#4)

Click a file row to:

  • Set to public (default) or private
  • Add to favorites
  • Add a tag

Play, Link and the familiar 3 dots dropdown (#5)
  • Play button (for demos) else it’s a create demo icon.
  • Link button.
  • 3 dots dropdown to access many different features.

Libraries

The Walnut menu pane shows three libraries: All files, My library and Shared. Each library has a similar layout.

  • Sort by updated date (#1)
  • Create New (#2): Template, Demo, Demo Playlist, Folder
  • Change layout - list or grid

Create a new folder and share it

>To create a new folder and share it:

  1. Navigate to the library, click the New button and select Template from the dropdown.
  2. Name the folder.
  3. Select the row and click the 3 dots, then select  Share link.

Deals

The Deals screen has three sections:

Deals
  • Filters (#1) making it super easy to slice and data data.
  • Interactive dashboard (#2) summarizing your deals
  • Deals (#3) with a drill down to see deal specifics (opens a new screen).

Insights

The Insights page provides a real-time interactive dashboard so you always have a visual source of truth about who’s viewing your demos internally and externally plus a host of other demo-related stats.

Integrations

To set up and manage integrations so you can sync data from other much-used apps, head over to the article Link Existing Demos to Your CRM.


Company Settings

We know that one size doesn’t fit all, so we’ve a bunch of different settings and options in each of the five tabs:

  1. Account settings: privacy & security, SSO, capture options, tags and more.
  2. Brand style: fonts, colors, buttons so your brand shines in all that you do.
  3. Users: User details, user status and user analytics.
  4. Groups: List of members in each group., group management.
  5. Webhooks: Links to your webhooks and ON/OFF toggles.

Icons, icons...

Everyone loves icons. We’ve made sure each icon has a handy tooltip. We cover the icons in the different articles, but here are some that you’ll see a lot when you’re in the Editor.

Login / out

Login

  • If your company has set up Single Sign On (SSO) you can login with your existing account information from Google, Microsoft, Okta or many others.
  • If not, login with your email and password for Walnut.

Logout

  • Click your avatar (top right) and select Logout.
