Create avatars

About

Company logos, employee headshots, or brand mascots all make great avatars and help your guides stand out! Add a company-wide avatar and/or allow users to create their own, whilst keeping your company brand style intact!

You can:

  • apply an avatar to appear on every Guide in your template, or choose different avatars on different Guides (mix and match).
  • Add an avatar to a welcome message.

Add a company avatar

A typical company avatar is the company logo.

> To add an avatar to a template:

  1. Open the template and from the header click Guides.
  2. Click the Gear icongear icon.png and from the pane dropdown, select Avatar and set the Show Avatar toggle to ON.
  3. Next, upload your image and add a title (optional). 
  4. Set the Avatar Personalization toggle to ON if you want another to add a different avatar. This adds a personal touch without affecting other company-wide brand settings. Note you must have admin rights.
  5. Click Save at the bottom of the Settings pane.
  6. That’s it.  Your avatar will show on all template modals and tooltips. 

Disable a company avatar

You can disable a company avatar on individual guides. 

> To disable a company avatar on individual guides:

  1. Open the template and from the header click Guides.
  2. Click the Gear icon gear icon.png and from the pane dropdown, select Avatar and set the Show Avatar toggle to OFF.
  3. Click Save.

Create user avatars

When the Avatar Personalization toggle is ON, each user can upload their own avatar to show when they publish a new version of a guide. This adds a personal touch without affecting other company-wide brand settings.

To allow users to create their own avatars:

  1. You need admin permissions to make this change.
  2. Navigate to Company Settings>Brand Style.
  3. Set the Show Avatar toggle to ON.

  4. Set the Avatar Personalization toggle to ON.
  5. Activate the checkbox Allow Personalization.
  6. Click Save.

Create avatars as variables

There are times when you want to match avatars to specific guides. For example, the demo’s main avatar is the company logo, but you want to add variable avatar on the Find out more screen, so that the demo can be used by more than one sales rep. You get the idea. You can mix and match!

Add an avatar to a welcome message
