By using the custom element selector, you can designate non-clickable elements on your captured screen as actionable entities. This tool allows you to highlight a particular area on the screen and designate it as a custom element, enabling greater flexibility in linking screens or incorporating guides.
Applying Custom Elements
Select the custom element lasso icon in the top left of the editor.
If you have not yet set your template display options to Proportional Fit or Fixed With, you will see the following message and be directed to change the settings. Custom elements can only be applied when using these two display options.
With your template settings set, you'll be able to click anywhere on the template screen to draw your custom element. Simply drag your cursor over the area of interest.
Once you've highlighted your desired area, you'll see a mini version of the editor appear with the option to add a link or guide to the newly created element.
You can also adjust the size of the selected area by simply dragging the border. Once your element is created you can add guides to it just like you would with any other captured element!
Important to Note 📝
- Your template display options must be set to Proportional Fit or Fixed With in order to use the Custom Elements feature.
- There is no limit to the number of custom elements you add to each screen in your template.
