The seat request flow allows members of your company to request access into your Walnut environment.
Requesting a Seat
When a demo has an email gate turned on, all viewers are prompted to enter their email before starting to view it. This allows demo creators to collect viewer emails and therefore gain insights about their viewing experience.
If the viewer enters an email with the same domain as your company, they will be asked if they want to sent a request to join your Walnut workspace.
Accepting a Seat Request
If your Walnut instance still has available seats according to your contract details, all admin users within your account will be notified about the request. From there, all admins will be able to approve the request.
If your Walnut instance is already at it seat capacity, only the account owner will receive the email update.
Within the User tab of the Company Settings page, account admins can filter their view based on user status.
When accepting the new user request, admins can decide which user permission to set. If nothing is set, new users will default to the presenter role. Upon approval, new users will receive an email to accept their invitation to Walnut and complete their sign up.
Important to Note 📝
- If the request is an overage, only Account Owners will receive an email to approve. For more information on overages, refer to the license agreement in your contract or contact support@walnut.io. You can also see your current seat count on the Company Settings page.
- Prospects will never see the seat request banner as it is only for users with the same email domain as your company.
- The seat request banner cannot be removed for internal users.
- User approval cannot be done in bulk. Admins must accept users on an individual basis.
- Admins can export a CSV file of the user requests.
