The seat request flow allows members of your company to request access into Walnut. Once a seat is requested, account admins are notified and they must approve the access. Once approved, the requestor will receive an email invitation to join Walnut.
How it works
When a demo has the email gate feature turned on, upon entering into the demo, all viewers will be prompted to enter their email. This allows the demo creator to collect the emails of those who have watched and gain insights about their experience.
If a viewer enters an email with the same domain as your company, they will be asked if they want to request a seat in your Walnut workspace. Viewers can always skip past the modal to view the Walnut and choose not to see the prompt again.
If access is requested, all admins will receive an email to approve the request. On the approval page, admins have the option to change their role before approving. Otherwise, their seat will be defaulted to a presenter role.
If the request is an overage, only Account Owners will receive an email to approve. For more information on overages, refer to the license agreement in your contract or contact support@walnut.io. You can also see your current seat count on the Company Settings page.
Upon approval, the requestor will receive an email to accept their invitation to Walnut and complete their sign up.
Important to note 📝
- Prospects will never see the seat request banner as it is only for users with the same email domain as your company.
- For internal users, the seat request banner cannot be removed.
