Overview
SCIM provisioning allows you to provision and deprovision users directly from your SSO provider. Once users are provisioned, they will receive a default role of Presenter. If the SCIM provisioning section is disabled, it may not be included in your contract, contact your CSM if it appears grayed out in Company Settings. To complete this process, you will need access to your company’s SSO portal. If you’re ready to get started setting up provisioning, follow the steps below.
Instructions
- To begin the process, navigate to the company settings page and click on the SCIM provisioning tab.
- To begin the process, you’ll need to choose your SSO provider. We support most providers, including Okta SCIM and Azure Directory, Salesforce, Google Directory Sync, OneLogin, and more. See the full list of supported providers here.
- Complete the instructions that follow and test your connection.
Important: We do not currently support Push Groups so you can skip any steps related to Push Groups. - Once SCIM is enabled, provisioned users will receive an email to join Walnut or they can go directly to https://app.teamwalnut.com/ and log in.
FAQs
How do I turn off this feature?
To disable the feature, simply toggle it off. In doing so, you will no longer be able to provision and deprovision users from your SSO provider. To remove the connection to your directory provider completely, you can remove the connection.
Important: if you remove the connection, you will have to go through the process again to set up SCIM provisioning.
Can I change providers after configuring a connection?
Yes, you can change providers after you configure a connection.
