Note: You need to be the storyline or demo owner in order to restrict editing on it.
Overview
Restricting editing enables you to share your storylines with everyone without worrying about unintended changes. Once you restrict editing, no one else can edit the storyline, even if it’s shared with them. This means that others can create and share demos from your storyline without having access to edit and make changes to the storyline itself. For demos, no one else can edit the demo access controls you have selected (such as adding an access code, requiring an email address, etc.).
Instructions
To restrict editing for a storyline or demo:
-
Go to the storylines or demos home screen.
-
Find the storyline or demo you want to restrict and click the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner.
For a more hands-on walkthrough, we (obviously) have an interactive demo for you!
FAQ
Who can restrict editing on a storyline or demo?
Only the owner (creator) of the storyline or demo can toggle this setting.
When should I edit restrictions?
For storylines: use editing restrictions when the storyline has reached a final state and you don’t want others to change the content in it. For demos: use the editing restriction when you are prepared to share the demo and don’t want the settings changed.
How do I allow editing again?
To open up editing access once again, simply go to the storyline or demo and click “Allow editing.”
