Using Timed Capture – Walnut.io

Overview

Some elements, such as hovers, drop-downs, tooltips, and more require a different capturing technique to guarantee you capture the screen the way you want. To help you with that, we’ve added the ability to set a timed capture. Until now, you needed to go through several motions or click on an element in a specific way. But now, you can simply set a timer with a few time ranges to guarantee that you’ll catch the elements you’re looking to showcase.

Instructions

To start using Timed Capture, open the Capture Panel from the extension
Click on the clock icon beside the camera, which will turn purple once activated
If you don't see a clock icon; click on the settings icon and disable Continuous Capture, then you should be able to turn on Timed Capture from the settings, or the clock icon.
You can also adjust the countdown in the settings; choose from 3, 5 or 10 seconds.
Once you click the camera icon, or use the keyboard shortcut to capture, you'll see the countdown appear and then your screen will be captured.

FAQs

Can I use Timed Capture while capturing in the Continuous Capture mode?

These two methods of capturing are mutually exclusive, you will need to turn off Continuous Capture to enable Timed Capture.
