Overview
Sharing a storyline is a great option for an internal review, sharing resources, or working on a demo with colleagues. You can invite individuals from your company to the storyline, or allow access for everyone within the company. If you are inviting others for the purpose of collaboration, there is a limit to one person working on the storyline at one time. If you need to make edits to a copy of a storyline, you can duplicate it instead. But if you’re looking to work on the same storyline together, follow the steps below to start collaborating!
Instructions
- Open a Storyline from the homepage or the Storylines page.
- On the Overview page, click on the Collaborators button in the lower left corner of the screen.
- A pop up window should appear that allows you to either Share the Storyline with everyone in
your company, or invite collaborators individually. - To invite collaborators individually, click on the text that says “Only You.” If you have shared it with your company, this option will be greyed out.
- Managing collaborators individually will display a search bar to type in users individually, and a scroll box to view all possible collaborators in your company.
- To add someone as a collaborator, simply click the plus button next to their name, which will then change to a checkmark.
- To remove someone, simply click the checkmark icon again, and it will revert to a plus icon.
For a more hands-on walkthrough, we (obviously) have an interactive demo for you!
FAQs
How do I view all Storylines that are shared with me?
If someone has shared a Storyline with you, but not showing on your homepage in the Recents or Favorites sections, click the “Filter by” option at the top of the homepage, beside the search field, and select “Shared with me.”
If I archive a Storyline, can my team still access it?
If you archive a Storyline it will also archive it for anyone else in which it was shared with. Additionally, if you share a storyline with a user, they will also have the ability to archive it. Restricting edits would be a great final step once you’re finished collaborating, and want to control any further changes, including the ability for someone else to archive the storyline.
