Continuous Capture is an alternative method for capturing your template. Once turned on, the extension follows your action, capturing a screen on each click of the mouse. Using this method, you can quickly run through your planned demo, capturing all of the screens in one flow. This makes it much faster to capture each screen you need when demonstrating how to get from point A to point B within your product.
Create a new template or select an existing template.
Click on the Capture mode in the extension Pop-In
Select Continuous Capture under the settings
You'll notice the icon changes to a film strip
Clicking on the film strip icon captures the present screen, and starts the capture process.
New screens are captured on each new mouse-click within the product or website.
Once you start capturing you'll notice the camera icon changes to a pause icon.
- To pause Continuous Capture, click the pause icon. To completely end your capturing, hit the X.
When turning on Continuous Capture, you may notice a section display under the menu bar which indicates: "Walnut - Sales Demo Platform" started debugging this browser. This is expected behaviour, and aims to reproduce the highest capture quality as possible.
When I click on the settings, Continuous Capture appears greyed out, how do I enable it?
If Continuous Capture is greyed out in settings, you likely have multi-resolution capturing turned on. The two features cannot be used simultaneously but it is easy to turn off Multi-resolution capturing under Advanced settings, and then you should be able to turn on Continuous capture.
