Create an effective communication channel with your prospects and demo visitors by allowing them to leave comments on your demo. Let them raise questions, give feedback, or just express their excitement! The comments feature is very similar to other traditional commenting tools (Google Docs, for example). Once you enable the feature - demo visitors will be able to drop a comment wherever they want throughout the demo. When a new comment is added to the demo, the demo creator will be notified about it via email.
Create a demo from an existing template, or find a previously created demo.
Hover over the thumbnail of the demo and click Share Demo.
- A modal will appear with several customization options.
- Click on Prospect communication and toggle the option to add comments on.
Hit the copy Link and Save button in order to send the updated demo view to your prospect.
Once they add a comment to your demo, you will get an email notification.
From the email notification you can hit the Reply button directly in the email to respond back, or the Inbox button to see an overview of all comments.
How do I turn off comments on a demo?
In order to turn off commenting, all you need to do is to log in to Walnut, navigate to the specific demo you want to turn off the comments for, click on the “Share panel”, and turn the toggle off (don’t forget to save!)
Who can see comments on a demo?
Any demo viewer with the same email domain as the person making the comment will be able to see their comments.
Do I need to require email identification in order to collect comments?
Yes, in order to turn commenting on, you need to keep the setting "Require email identification" turned on, so the commenter has an identity and to be sent via email. You will notice you cannot toggle commenting on, if the email identification setting is off. Learn more about how you can change all demo access controls to customize your demo viewers.
