## **Overview**

Editing a live demo center no longer means your viewers see every change the moment you make it. With the **draft and publish** workflow, your edits are saved as a **draft** while viewers continue to see the **last published version**. When your changes are ready, you **Publish** them all at once — or **discard** them if you change your mind.

This gives you a safe space to restructure, rewrite, and restyle a demo center without exposing work-in-progress to your audience.

---

## **How It Works**

- **Edits are drafts.** Any change you make to a demo center is saved as an unpublished draft.
- **Viewers see the published version.** Your audience always sees the most recently published state — never your in-progress draft.
- **You control when it goes live.** Nothing reaches viewers until you explicitly click **Publish**.

## **Working with Drafts**

### **The "Unpublished changes" indicator**

Whenever your draft differs from what's published, Walnut shows an **unpublished changes** indicator on the demo center. This is your cue that viewers are still seeing an earlier version and that you have edits waiting to go live.

### **Publish your changes**

When your draft is ready:

1. Open the demo center you've been editing.
2. Review your changes.
3. Click **Publish**.

Your draft becomes the new published version, the unpublished-changes indicator clears, and viewers immediately see the updated demo center.

### **Discard your changes**

Not happy with your edits? Click **Discard changes** to roll the draft back to the last published version. Your published demo center is unaffected — only the unpublished draft is removed.

:::note[Why this matters]

Draft and publish keeps your viewer-facing experience stable while you iterate. You can make big changes with confidence, knowing nothing goes live until you say so — and that a rough draft is always one click away from being discarded.

## **FAQs**

### **What do viewers see while I'm editing?**

Viewers always see the **last published version** of your demo center. Your draft edits stay private until you Publish.

### **Can I undo a draft?**

Yes. Use **Discard changes** to revert your draft back to the currently published version at any time before publishing.
